Diary of Events 2021

The Committee have been spending the last year maintaining the hall and getting on top of lots of little jobs that needed sorting.  The outside lights should all now be working when they're supposed to, rather than either staying permanently on or not coming on at all.  Ditto the Emergency Exit lights.  The lawns have been mowed and the woodwork on the building, shed and garage refreshed.  Cleaning, painting, updating, checking, tidying, organising.....you name it, we've probably done it at some stage!  Now all we need is your support to make it all worth while.

We are starting to welcome back some of our regular groups to the Village Hall as well as some one-offs.  Atomic Dance were the last to go and are almost the first ones back and we're very pleased to see them making good use of the space in the hall.  We've also hosted First Aid and training courses (educational activities were allowed, with certain restrictions in place) and are all set for the elections in May.  We just need to dust off the polling booths and get them set up with the obligatory sanitisation stations and one way system through the building, of course.

As we look ahead, with the glorious bank of daffodils at the front of the hall to announce that Spring is well and truly here, we are turning our thoughts to a Summer Fete in July.  Just imagine how good it will be to have a sunny day with stalls, people and refreshments a-plenty.  Certainly something to look forward to.  More information to follow.

A reminder that we are always looking for new members to join our Committee.  The task is not too onerous, but the more people we have, the easier it is to get things done.  Do get in touch if you feel you can help us or want to book the hall for a post lockdown event.  The online diary to check availability of the hall before booking your event is above.

Looking forward to welcoming you all to the hall soon!
