Aunt Phoebe’s Recreation Ground

The recreation ground was gifted to the village in 1930 by Mrs Burnett, better known as Aunt Phoebe of the Red Lion pub. The addition of a children’s playground in 2002 makes this a valued and well used village facility.

Accessed along the lane beside the village store, the recreation ground has disability access, a pavilion with changing facilities and is pitch marked for football, cricket and hockey.

The recreation ground is a Dark Skies Stargazing site and is well used by the local astronomical society.
